Michelle is a 2011 graduate of Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy and has been practicing Massage Therapy for over 6 years. She is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. She joined Bellesmere Massage Therapy Clinic in 2019.
She has worked in many different settings such as chiropractic clinics, spas and MVA clinics. She has also worked extensively in gyms and physiotherapy clinics.
Michelle is fully experienced in treating pain syndromes associated with sports injuries, motor vehicle accidents and other incidents requiring rehabilitative procedures. Such injuries include sprains, strains, tears and post-surgery.
As part of her studies, Michelle practiced in a breast massage clinic that specialized in the treatment of postsurgical breast cancer rehabilitation. Inspired by the positive changes that her clients experienced with reduced pain, reduced scaring and restored range of motion, Michelle continues to specialize in this area of treatment. Michelle works with women to improve breast health, not only for cancer survivors, but also issues related to pregnancy, breast feeding and PMS pain.
In addition to Swedish massage, Michelle uses a variety of techniques such as fascial release, dynamic/static stretching, joint mobilization and traction to restore function and mobility. Her massages are usually treatment based with the added touch of relaxation.
