Sally is a graduate of Centennial College’s Massage Therapy program. She first fell in love with Massage Therapy while studying Kinesiology at York University. The way the body moves, the way the musculoskeletal system functions and the way balance is required for healthy living fascinated her. With the knowledge of Kinesiology, she applied to the Massage Therapy Program, seeking to combine her love of human kinetics and caring for others.
During her training, Sally developed a particular passion for working with sports injuries, infant massage and cancer care patients. She was inspired by how massage therapy assisted with pain management and improved wellbeing throughout her clients’ cancer therapy.
Sally uses a variety of modalities, including Swedish massage, deep tissue, joint mobilizations, PNF (Proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation), stretching, hot stone, trigger point therapy and fascial release. She combines her treatments with a prescription of home self-care to facilitate the return to a normal, pain free, and healthy way of life for her clients. She uses her detailed pre treatment assessments to provide a treatment plan that is right for you.
Sally continues to fulfill her passion of helping others by broadening her education and knowledge. After listening to the many stories from women who felt unsupported and unprepared through the tradition health system during their pregnancy and postpartum, Sally has trained and become a Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula. Whether it is through the touch of her hands or the guidance she can provide, Sally is now that source of information and support that her clients so wish they had. And being a mother herself, gives her that extra bit of training.
