Amanda has a degree in Kinesiology and a background in fitness and personal training. She became a Registered Massage Therapist in 2011 and has worked in multidisciplinary settings, spas, corporate wellness, massage clinics, supervised student clinics and outreaches, and as a labour support doula.
Amanda owns a continuing education company with her partner, and also hosts a Massage Therapy Podcast. In the past 2 years, she has put even more focus into the world of education and currently runs Massage Therapy Conferences. Amanda is one of the partners in Massage Therapy Media which is a digital resource for Massage Therapists. She spends much of her time working with massage therapy educators and helping them to get their courses out into the massage community.
After taking a few years to focus on her education business, conferences, and media projects, Amanda wants to engage with clients again and get back into the treatment room. This is why she will be returning to Bellesmere Massage Therapy on a part-time basis. Her passion is working with prenatal clients and is educated as a Labour Support Doula. She also enjoys working with people with desk jobs or working in trades, helping them through both treatment and exercise plans to make their jobs easier on their body. Her goal is to help everyone achieve optimal health.
In her spare time, Amanda enjoys spending time outdoors with her two daughters
